A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond — chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was created. Instead of forming over billions of years under the earth's crust, it's grown in a controlled laboratory environment using either CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) or HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) technology.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds. They have the same crystal structure, the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same refractive index, and the same fire and brilliance as mined diamonds. Even gemologists cannot distinguish them without specialized equipment. They are graded by the same international laboratories (IGI, GIA) using the same 4C criteria.

PAIJE sources diamonds grown primarily via CVD. A tiny carbon seed is placed inside a chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. Microwaves ionize the gas into plasma, causing carbon atoms to deposit onto the seed layer by layer — growing a rough diamond crystal over 2–4 weeks. The rough stone is then cut and polished by master craftsmen.

Lab-grown diamonds cost 60–80% less than mined diamonds of equivalent quality. This isn't because they're lesser — it's because they don't carry the supply chain markups of the mining industry. You get a larger, higher-quality stone for your budget. The sentimental and aesthetic value is identical.

Cut — The most important factor. A well-cut diamond reflects light brilliantly regardless of color or clarity. PAIJE only offers Excellent and Very Good cut grades.

Color — Graded D (colorless) to Z (yellow). We recommend D–F for the whitest look, G–H for excellent value with near-colorless appearance.

Clarity — Measures internal inclusions. VS1–VS2 offer eye-clean stones at great value. FL–IF grades are flawless but rarely necessary.

Carat — Refers to weight, not size. Cut quality affects how large a diamond appears visually.
