How can we help?
Find answers to the most common questions about PAIJE, lab-grown diamonds, and your order.
What is a lab-grown diamond?
What is a lab-grown diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond — chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond. It's created in a controlled environment using CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) or HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) technology instead of being extracted from the earth. Every PAIJE diamond is certified by IGI, the world's largest independent gemological laboratory. Learn more in our Lab Diamond Guide →
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are composed of pure crystallized carbon with the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), refractive index, and thermal conductivity as mined diamonds. Even expert gemologists cannot distinguish between them without specialized equipment. They are not simulants like cubic zirconia or moissanite — lab-grown diamonds ARE diamonds in every scientific sense.
How much do lab-grown diamonds cost compared to mined?
How much do lab-grown diamonds cost compared to mined?
Lab-grown diamonds typically cost 60–80% less than mined diamonds of comparable quality. A 1-carat round brilliant that might cost $8,000–$12,000 as a mined stone is available as a lab-grown diamond for $1,500–$3,000. At PAIJE, this means more carat weight, better cut grade, and higher clarity — for the same budget you had in mind.
What is the difference between CVD and HPHT diamonds?
What is the difference between CVD and HPHT diamonds?
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) grows diamonds from a carbon gas seed in a vacuum chamber. HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) replicates the natural conditions of diamond formation using extreme pressure and heat. Both produce real, certified diamonds. CVD is more common today because it offers greater control over quality and allows for larger, higher-clarity stones — most PAIJE diamonds are CVD grown.
Are PAIJE diamonds certified?
Are PAIJE diamonds certified?
Every PAIJE diamond 0.30 carats and above comes with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. This certificate details the diamond's 4Cs — carat, cut, color, and clarity — along with its origin as lab-grown. IGI is recognized worldwide and is accepted by insurers, appraisers, and jewelers in New York, London, Dubai, and beyond.
What are the 4Cs and which matter most for lab-grown diamonds?
What are the 4Cs and which matter most for lab-grown diamonds?
The 4Cs are Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat — the universal grading system for all diamonds. For lab-grown diamonds, Cut matters most: it determines how much light the stone reflects and gives it that signature sparkle. We recommend prioritizing Excellent or Ideal cut, then Color (D–G for white gold, G–I for yellow gold), then Clarity (VS2 and above is eye-clean). Explore our Diamond Education Hub for a full breakdown.
Do lab-grown diamonds hold their value?
Do lab-grown diamonds hold their value?
Lab-grown diamond prices have declined over the past few years as production efficiency improved — similar to flat-screen TVs or solar panels. Like any luxury purchase, we recommend buying lab-grown diamonds primarily for their beauty and meaning, not as financial investment. The upside: you get significantly more diamond for your money today compared to mined diamonds at the same price point.
What metals do PAIJE pieces come in?
What metals do PAIJE pieces come in?
All PAIJE jewelry is crafted in solid 14k or 18k gold — available in white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold. We do not use plated, gold-filled, or sterling silver. White gold pieces are rhodium-plated for a bright white finish, which we re-apply free of charge under our lifetime warranty.
What engagement ring styles do you offer?
What engagement ring styles do you offer?
Our ring collection includes solitaire, pavé, halo, bezel, three-stone, and the increasingly popular East-West settings — where the diamond is set horizontally for a modern elongated look. All settings are available in your choice of gold color and can be customized with different diamond shapes (round, oval, cushion, pear, emerald, and more).
How do I find my ring size?
How do I find my ring size?
The most accurate method is to visit a local jeweler for a professional sizing. At home, you can wrap a thin strip of paper around your finger, mark where it overlaps, and compare to our size chart. We recommend sizing up by half a size in hot weather, since fingers swell slightly. Our Ring Size Guide includes a printable chart and detailed instructions. All rings can be resized once within the first year at no charge.
Are your earrings suitable for sensitive ears?
Are your earrings suitable for sensitive ears?
Yes. All PAIJE earrings are set in solid 14k or 18k gold with gold posts — not surgical steel or base metal. Gold is hypoallergenic for the vast majority of people. If you have a known nickel sensitivity, choose yellow gold (which contains no nickel) or 18k white gold (lower nickel content than 14k white gold).
What chain lengths do your necklaces come in?

What is the PAIJE Lifetime Warranty?
Every PAIJE piece comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers prong tightening, rhodium re-plating (for white gold), and structural integrity checks — all free of charge. Simply ship your piece to us with a note describing the issue. We cover return shipping. Warranty does not cover accidental damage or loss.
Should I insure my PAIJE jewelry?
Should I insure my PAIJE jewelry?
We strongly recommend it. Fine jewelry insurance typically costs 1–2% of the item value per year and covers loss, theft, and accidental damage — things our warranty doesn't cover. Insurers will ask for an appraisal; upon request, we can provide an independent appraisal letter for any PAIJE piece. Popular jewelry insurers include Jewelers Mutual and BriteCo.
How do I clean my diamond jewelry at home?
How do I clean my diamond jewelry at home?
The safest method: soak in warm water with a few drops of dish soap for 20–30 minutes, then gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Rinse under warm running water and dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pavé settings (they can loosen small stones). We also recommend a professional clean every 12–18 months. See our full Care Guide →
Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Yes — solid gold and lab-grown diamonds are durable enough for daily wear. However, we recommend removing jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools (chlorine can weaken gold), applying lotions or perfume (chemicals dull the surface), and heavy manual activities. Store pieces individually to avoid scratching. With proper care, your PAIJE jewelry will look as brilliant in 30 years as the day it arrived.
Why does white gold jewelry turn slightly yellow over time?
Why does white gold jewelry turn slightly yellow over time?
White gold is naturally a slightly warm yellow metal — the bright white color comes from a rhodium plating applied during manufacturing. Over time (typically 1–3 years with daily wear), this plating wears down revealing the warmer tone underneath. This is completely normal and not a defect. PAIJE's lifetime warranty includes free rhodium re-plating — simply send the piece back to us.
Are lab-grown diamonds more sustainable than mined diamonds?
Are lab-grown diamonds more sustainable than mined diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds have a significantly smaller environmental footprint than mined diamonds. They require no land excavation, produce no mining waste, and generate far less CO₂ per carat. PAIJE sources from facilities using renewable energy, and we're committed to achieving carbon-neutral certification across our full supply chain by end of 2026. Are PAIJE diamonds conflict-free?
Are PAIJE diamonds conflict-free?
100%. Lab-grown diamonds are inherently conflict-free — they are produced in laboratories, not extracted from conflict zones. There is no supply chain uncertainty, no Kimberley Process compliance needed, and no ethical ambiguity. When you choose PAIJE, you know exactly where your diamond came from.
Is PAIJE's packaging sustainable?

We use FSC-certified paper for all packaging materials. Our ribbon, tissue paper, and outer shipping box are all recyclable. We're currently working to eliminate single-use plastics from our packaging entirely by 2026. Our jewelry pouches are made from organic cotton.
